What do you need to do?
- Step 1. Carefully remove the electronics and transponder from your original key and place them in the new housing.
- Step 2. Transfer the straight key blade with notch or have it copied at a locksmith. Close the housing.

Nice sleeve2023-09-11It’s a decent shell, but replacing the transponder—let alone the electronics from the old key—is a whole different story. I managed to get the transponder to work, but not the electronics. After transferring the original key to the new head, it’s still a bit stiff to open—a slight improvement over the old key, which was a nightmare, but still. I put the new head on the old body; you have to glue it in place, otherwise it pops open when you turn the key in the ignition.

An online manual or video would make it even better. That way, you’d know exactly what to do and what not to do, as well as how to do it and what tools you need.
