Is technical knowledge necessary?
No that is not necessary, you can have a properly functioning clap key again without technical knowledge. You only need to transfer the electronics and immobilizer from your old key.
What do you need to do?
- Step 1. Open your existing key, remove the electronics and immobilizer and place them in the new folding key housing.
- Step 2. Transfer the key blade to the new housing or have it sharpened at a locksmith. Then close the housing.
- Step 3. That's all, you now have a fully functioning folding key again.
