What do we supply?
You receive a car key without electronics. The transponder (also called an immobilizer) ensures that you can start the car. We also supply a battery with it.
How does it work?
The programming (also called linking / learning / reading) of this car key will have to be done by a car company, specialist garage or car diagnostics company. Before ordering, check with a company in your area if they can program the key for you.
Note: This key is not pre-programmed by the manufacturer. Because of this, the car key is often not programmable by a dealer. This is because the dealer orders a pre-programmed key from the importer/wholesaler based on your chassis number (vehicle identification number).
What do you need to do?
- Step 1. Enquire at a local car dealer, specialist garage or car diagnostic company whether they can program keys with electronics.
- Step 2. Order the required car key and have it programmed at a car company, specialist garage, car diagnostics company or - with us.
