Is technical knowledge necessary?
No that is not necessary, you can have a good working clapkey again without any technical knowledge. After insertion you can use it immediately.
What do you have to do?
- Step 1. Open your existing key, take out the electronics, battery and immobilizer (transponder) and place them in the new folding key. Close the housing.
- Step 2. Transfer the pointed key blade (TOY43) to the new folding key or have it sharpened at a locksmith.
- Step 3. That's all - you now have a fully functioning folding key again.
