No that is not necessary, you can replace your current remote control with the new remote control without technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Step 1. Open your existing remote, take out the electronics and transfer them to the new remote. Close the housing.
Step 2. That's all, you now have a working remote control again.

Good quality!2023-12-24The key does what it is supposed to do and is exactly like the original in size but better quality. Unfortunately the shipment was not sufficiently stamped so postnl is happy to demand a postage. Desire is of course voluntary. :wink:
