Description
The Renault Espace smartcard can be used for all Renault Espace models. The smart card and key blade are of top quality. The smart card has buttons for lock, unlock and lighting.
You do not need to know about electronics, only a screwdriver! Simply transfer the circuit board from your old key to your new key without programming and you do not need to visit the dealer. In this type of key there are 2 batteries in the housing. When transferring the circuit board we advise you to install new batteries. The button cell battery (€ 1,95 each) is easy to order in addition, check the available options.
You can easily transfer your old key blade into the new housing. If necessary you can take the old blade to your nearest locksmith to have the new blade copied.
Check carefully, whether the appearance on the images is the same as your old model!

New housing okay, unfortunately this was not the solution.2023-10-29Wife had washed the original keycard with it. Was still hoping to save the circuit board by taking it out of the housing and drying it well. Requested new key housing, price and delivery was fine. Unfortunately: after placing circuit board and transponder in the new housing and new battery nothing happens. Did notice that the new housing deviated just slightly at the battery holder, making it easy for the battery to be a little too loose. That was solvable though, with padding and slightly bending contact point that was no longer the problem. Still dread having to buy a new original key unfortunately. By the way, the housing has to be glued, otherwise the two halves will not stay in place.
