Description
A Peugeot-compatible ignition key with a transponder (ID46) and a pointed key blade with a keyway (NE73) to replace your damaged or faulty ignition key. Also suitable for making a copy of your key so that you have an (extra) spare key. Suitable for models including the Peugeot 106 and Peugeot 206.
How do I replace the transponder key?
You can have a fully functional ignition key again without any technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Choose between replacing your damaged/faulty key or getting an (additional) spare key; see below.
To replace your damaged or faulty ignition key with a transponder
Step 1. Open your existing ignition key, remove the transponder/immobiliser and transfer it to the new ignition key. Close the casing.
Step 2. Transfer the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition lock) to the new key casing. You can also choose to have the key cut (copied) by a locksmith.
Step 3. That’s it – you now have a fully functional ignition key again.
An (extra) spare key
Step 1. Take your original key and the new key to the locksmith.
Step 2. Ask them to copy the immobiliser/transponder. The immobiliser ensures that you can start your car.
Step 3. Have your key copied by the locksmith.
Step 4. That’s it, you now have an (extra) spare key.
