Is technical knowledge necessary?
No that is not necessary, you can have a fully functioning key housing without technical knowledge. After programming, you can use it immediately.
What do you need to do?
- Step 1. Open your existing key, remove the electronics, battery and immobilizer and place them in the new folding key housing. Close the housing.
- Step 2. Transfer the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition) to the new key housing. You can also choose to have it sharpened (copied) by a locksmith. Close the housing.
- Step 3. That's all - you now have a properly functioning folding key.
