Description
With this Opel compatible 3-button folding key with straight key blade (HU100) you can convert your old (damaged) folding key into the updated model folding key. The key is suitable for Opel Insignia, among others .
Is technical knowledge necessary?
No that is not necessary, you can turn your normal key housing into a folding key without technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Step 1. Check if your current key is model 1078. If you have another model, this key will not be suitable.
Step 2. Open your existing folding key, remove the electronics and start cup and place them in the new folding key housing.
Step 3. Have the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition switch) sharpened (copied):
(a.) We can take care of this for you. You can read how this works on the page "car key sharpening".
b.) Or have the key sharpened by a locksmith.
Step 4. That's all, you now have a working folding key!
