Description
With this Opel-compatible 2-button folding key with point key blade and notch right (YM28), you can convert your old (damaged) key housing into a folding key. Suitable for Opel Astra, Opel Zafira, Opel Vectra and Opel Omega, among others.
Is technical knowledge necessary?
No that is not necessary, you can turn your normal key housing into a folding key without any technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Step 1. Check that your current key is model OPEL20. If you have another model, this folding key will not be suitable.
Step 2. Open your existing key housing, take out the electronics and starter sub-cup and place them in the new folding key housing. Close the housing.
Step 3. Have your key copied by a key maker.
Step 4. That's all, you now have a properly working folding key!

Satisfied with conversion2020-08-23Be careful when purchasing that you buy the left or right version. Sounds silly of me but I didn't realize there were 2 versions. Furthermore, I had some trouble fully tightening the screws to the end and in the meantime there is already a scratch on the new housing, although I am careful with it (no other keys in pocket and so on).But definitely satisfied with the assembly.
