This Kia compatible 3-button smart key housing is ideal to replace your damaged or faulty smart key.
What do we supply?
You receive a complete car key. That is, a car key including electronics (remote control) and transponder. The electronics ensure that you can open and close the car remotely. The transponder (also called immobilizer) ensures that you can start the car. We also supply a CR2032 battery with it.
How does it work?
The programming (also called linking / learning / reading in) of this car key will have to be done by a car company, specialist garage or car diagnostic company. Before ordering, check with a company in your area if they can program the key for you.
Note: This key is not pre-programmed by the manufacturer. Because of this, the car key cannot be programmed by a dealer. The dealer orders a pre-programmed car key from the importer/wholesaler based on your chassis number (vehicle identification number).
What should you do?
Step 1. Enquire at a local car dealer, specialist garage or car diagnostic company whether they can program keys with electronics.
Step 2. Order the required car key and have it programmed by a car company, specialist garage or car diagnostic company.
Step 3. Have the emergency key (iron key) sharpened by a key maker / chop shop.
