Description
This Ford compatible 3-button flip key with straight key blade (HU101) allows you to convert your old (damaged) key housing into a flip key. The key is suitable for Ford Mondeo, Ford Focus, Ford Ka, Ford Fusion and Ford Suit, among others.
Is technical knowledge necessary?
No that is not necessary, you can turn your normal key housing into a folding key without any technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Step 1. Check if your current key is model FORD17 . If you have another model, this key will not be suitable.
Step 2. Open your existing key housing, take out the electronics and starter sub-cup and place them in the new flip key housing.
Step 3. Have your key copied by a key maker.
Step 4. That's all, you now have a properly working clap key!

It's a bit complicated, but it works great.2021-07-21A great key for the price; there’s a bit of play between the key blade and the housing, but it works. Converting the 2006 Ford Focus C-Max key does require a bit more confidence and expertise. The ceramic immobilizer chip is glued into the Ford key and must be carefully cut out of the key without causing damage.

Ford 3-button key2018-12-11I think it’s a real shame that the symbols on the key—the open and closed padlocks and the suitcase—have already worn off. Other than that, it’s great and very easy to use. I do find it unfortunate that the white symbols have already worn off the key :disappointed: Maybe use slightly better paint or ink for the symbols. Best regards, David

It took a while to2016-06-27It took a while to find the right locksmith in North Holland, but the service is running very smoothly.

It was a bit of a hassle2015-12-04It was a bit of a hassle transferring the chip and the code chip. On the old one, it just clicked into place with a few pins, but on this one, it’s just loose. I secured it with a piece of tape and then put the key back together. That keeps everything nicely in place. Now it works great.Shop reply:
