Description
Citroën compatible 2-button key housing with straight key blade (VA2) to replace your damaged or defective key housing. The key is suitable for Citroën , C1, C2 and Citroën C3, among others.
Is technical knowledge necessary?
No that is not necessary, you can have a good working key housing again without technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Step 1. Open your existing key, remove the electronics, battery and immobilizer and place them in the new key housing.
Step 2. Transfer the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition) to the new key housing. You can also choose to have the key sharpened (copied) by a locksmith. Close the housing.
Step 3. That's all, you now have a functioning key housing again.

Converting electronics is not possible without modification2025-03-19Both the circuit board with the battery and the immobilizer from the original key wouldn’t fit into the new housing without some modifications. The fit is just a little different. Placing the new top section with the buttons onto the old, original key doesn’t fit properly, so you have to “modify” the key. Using a file and a utility knife, I managed to get the new housing to fit properly, but you do need some dexterity to do this. It now works as it should. Also, the quality of the plastic seems significantly lower than that of the original, so I’m curious how long the buttons will last. But: the key is now working again for very little money!2025-03-19Thank you for your review! We’re sorry to hear that the electronics didn’t fit right away in the new housing. This isn’t a known issue, but we’re aware that there are different models of this product, and the keyway can have a slightly different shape. As a result, the notch in the housing may be slightly different, which may have caused the problem you experienced.We suspect that a different model might have been needed and that this was the cause.
