Description
This Citroën compatible 2-button flip key with straight key blade with notch (HU83) allows you to convert your old (damaged) key housing into a flip key. Among others suitable for Citroën C1, Citroën C2, Citroën C3, Citroën C4 and Citroën C5.
Is technical knowledge necessary?
No that is not necessary, you can turn your normal key housing into a folding key without technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Step 1. Check if your current key is model 1080A. If you have another model this key will not be suitable.
Step 2. Open your existing key housing, remove the electronics and starter undercup and place them in the new folding key housing. Close the housing.
Step 3. Transfer the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition) to the new key housing. You can also choose to have the key sharpened (copied) by a locksmith.
Step 4. That's all, you now have a properly functioning folding key!
