Is technical knowledge necessary?
No it is not necessary, you can have a functioning key housing again without technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
- Step 1. Open your existing key, remove the electronics and immobilizer and place them in the new folding key housing.
- Step 2. Transfer the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition) to the new housing. You can also choose to have the key sharpened (copied) by a locksmith. Close the housing.
- Step 3. That's all - you now have a functioning key housing again.
