Is your Chevrolet folding key worn out or do you want an extra set? With this 2-button clap key conversion kit with straight key blade, you simply replace the housing and beard, and reuse your own electronics. That way you'll quickly have a new, fresh key.

No that is not necessary, you can have a properly working key housing again without technical knowledge.

What do you need to do?

Step 1. Open your existing key, remove the electronics and immobilizer and insert them into the new conversion kit.
Step 2. Transfer the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition switch) to the new housing. You can also choose to have the key sharpened (copied) by a locksmith. Close the housing.
Step 3. That's all - you now have a functioning key housing again.
